As an equity investor ourselves, we understand borrower issues and work to meet borrower needs in the context of creating value for our investors. Through our loan origination platform, we have the ability to provide non-recourse, higher LTV senior and subordinate debt, where we can generate equity-like returns with equity subordination.  We target all property types, including hotels and other specialty property types. Our special situations debt group targets the acquisition of performing, sub-performing and non-performing debt at a discount seeking out opportunities both in times of market calm as well as in times of more significant market dislocation.  We take an active approach to loan servicing to maximize the likelihood of loan repayment leveraging an integrated internal team. While our goal is for every borrower to repay their loans, as a highly experienced operator ourselves, we have the ability to take control of an asset to help protect value if the situation dictates.
